Goodbye 2009: A Year in Review

it's almost the end of the year. actually bukas New Year's Eve na naman. parang kailan lang andito rin ako around this time last year, feeling excited about the welcoming of 2009. now 2009 is over and i am bidding my
sweet good bye to the year it was.

2009, i must say, has become a good year to me. this is the year where i found
a better job that has given me different and exciting experiences. it is where i
met new people and new friends. although i spent the whole year being single, it didn't matter. i never even felt
cold nor i felt alone. my cool friends and my cool colleagues have made me feel
special and they kept me company for the entire year. i'm thankful to God for
giving them to my life. but i'm hoping sana next year, i'll be able to find that
special someone in my life. iba pa rin syempre kapag may isang tao na andyan
sa tabi mo giving you love and care. i think it's something that i missed most
this year.

this year also gave me some awesome entertainment. i've enjoyed the
movies shown this year. etong mga pelikulang ito ang naging libangan ko off my work schedules. Xmen Origins: Wolverine, The Twilight Saga: New Moon, Up, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, Monsters vs. Aliens, Star Trek, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, and recently, Avatar are some of these movies.

this year is where we also witnessed some famous people bid their farewells.
people that were not necessarily related or close to me but people that have become influential to the everyone in their own ways. we saw the passing
this year of the King of Pop Michael Jackson, Farah Fawcett,
David Carradine [Kill Bill], Steve McNair [NFL QB], Patrick Swayze,
US Senator Ted Kennedy, and just a few days ago Hollywood actress Brittany Murphy. Our own Master Rapper Francis M also left us this year.

we were also rocked by streak of storms this year that left us bruised and
battered. a lot of our kababayans were left homeless and some of them
even lost their loved ones to the massive floodings caused by these storms.

but despite all of these, we're still lucky to be here and still alive. and
we are welcoming another year full of hopes and dreams. i am praying that
this year will be a better year for everyone of us para lahat tayo happy.

...and sana we will have the leader that will truly lead us to progress and
prosperity. God Bless us all!!!

Happy New Year!!
Welcome 2010

Michael Jackson: The King of Pop (1958-2009)

it has not hit me yet actually. i think it was sudden. i think it was too soon. michael jackson is dead. he was only 50 years old. i remember growing up as a kid hearing his music playing at every radio station i would listen to. i even remembered a then teen-ager cousin of mine who would mock jacko's signature moves. that's where i begin to like his music. though i love the song "thriller", i used to be afraid of seeing it's music video playing. maybe because of the scary scenes in the video.

but now, the king is gone.
and his legacy though will forever live.

michael was found unconscious and not breathing at his L.A. home.
he was rushed to UCLA Medical Center.
at the emergency room, the doctors tried to revive him for 42 minutes
before he was pronounced dead at 3:30pm local time

Rest in Peace Michael....
we will surely miss you!

here is one of his live performances that i love watching over and over again...

busy, busy, busy

it's already been a while since the last time i've been here. i never thought i'd get too busy like this that i won't have much time to visit my blog here and put on some updates and entries. i miss practicing my writings here haha...

let me just go back a little bit in time wherein some important events in the family have passed:

april 1 and 2 were birthdays of my dad and my younger sister respectively. since it happened on the regular weekdays, we just got together at night. we just had a simple get together and had just a simple celebration. okay naman... we enjoyed those two nights together. thank God for all His blessings for us all.

that's all for now...
i'll be back here again when i already have something good enough to share with you all.

for the meantime, it's so long...

bye

training week is finally over! / farewell: francis m.

i told about my new job here just a couple of weeks ago and last monday, march 2, 2009, we started our 1 week of training. it was a fun-filled week at the mmda traffic academy. not only we were introduced to the nature of our new job as part of the mmda rescue team, we also learned a lot. aside from the new things we have learned in throughout the week, we all had fun. althroughout the week, i really had to wake up so early in the morning so that i could be there in time. now that it's over, i think i'll miss the laughters we had inside the conference room where the training was held. after this, we will be parting ways because of our different station assignments. but i know we will be meeting again some other time since we're just working under the same office (which is the Traffic Operations Center).

-------------

i was still on our training when i received a text message saying that Francis Magalona has passed away. at first i did not believe it. but when i got home, the news confirmed it. i was shocked. i thought he would survive his f
ight against cancer (of the blood: leukemia). but maybe it's God's will. his journey in this world is over.

i remembered a couple of instance when i met francis when i was still working as a
sales manager at a computer store in vmall greenhills. he was so cool and very respectful. i will forever remember that instant.

rest in peace master rapper...
we will all miss you a lot!

we will see you when we get there...
until then,

FAREWELL!

the blue marble experience...

yesterday, a friend and i met with a fellow moymoypalaboy forumer aica. we went along with her to the hang-out of moymoypalaboy tandem. it's a computer shop owned by the duo's friend just near their home. this was the first time i was able to visit that place. the other forumers have been there several times already. when we got there around past 3 pm, some other forumers were already there and some blue marble boys too were present. blue marble boys, by the way, are friends to the duo. if you have been watching their videos, they are those guys dancing along with the duo in the background. i met dagtangLason, paeng to mention some. they are actually very accommodating and they welcomed me warmly. more forumers have come there too like unrivaled who came with a friend michelle. badette also came alongwith her friend jhem. oh before i forget, unrivaled brought us some food from mcdo... thanks for the burger and fries! xD

but what i really loved with my trip there was when i finally met rodfill (the other half of the moymoypalaboy duo). he hang-out with us there and we all had fun. we watched their new videos there, they played DOTA, we watched tv.... it was all fun. rodfill introduced me to his cousin who's a forumer too; cuppycakegod who's luis' sister.

i left the place around 8 pm shortly after rodfill bid his goodbye because they would be going to laguna (luis' place). but before he left, he shook hands with me. "nice meeting you chris" - he said. he also told me they will be going here in our place soon.

i got home around past 9 pm and i went online on the forums immediately. haha xD

let's pause for a break

it's always been a hobby of mine watching tv series, be it foreign or local (but of course i always find pleasure on watching foreign tv series). that include of course some asian drama or love stories. i don't know why but i enjoy watching such programs a lot. and lately, i've been following this taiwanese tv series called "Love at a Corner" who's starring (i'm sure you all very well know this girl) Barbie Hsu of the famous "meteor garden" series. well, i'm not here to talk about its story... i guess i'll just have to do that some other time. what i'm here for is to share you GMA 7's theme song alotment for that series. i find this song so relaxing and very much pleasant to hear.
okay without any further adue, here's Sabrina singing an acoustic version of a vanessa carlton original... "A Thousand Miles"

Making my way downtown
Walking fast
Faces pass
And I’m home bound

Staring blankly ahead
Just making my way
Making a way
Through the crowd

And I need you
And I miss you
And now I wonder….

If I could fall
Into the sky
Do you think time
Would pass me by
‘Cause you know I’d walk
A thousand miles
If I could
Just see you
Tonight

It’s always times like these
When I think of you
And I wonder
If you ever
Think of me

‘Cause every thing’s so wrong
And I don’t belong
Living in your
Precious memory

‘Cause I need you
And I miss you
And now I wonder….

If I could fall
Into the sky
Do you think time
Would pass me by
‘Cause you know I’d walk
A thousand miles
If I could
Just see you
Tonight

And I, I
Don’t want to let you know
I, I
Drown in your memory
I, I
Don’t want to let this go
I, I
Don’t….

Making my way downtown
Walking fast
Faces pass
And I’m home bound

Staring blankly ahead
Just making my way
Making a way
Through the crowd

And I still need you
And I still miss you
And now I wonder….

If I could fall
Into the sky
Do you think time
Would pass us by
‘Cause you know I’d walk
A thousand miles
If I could
Just see you…

If I could fall
Into the sky
Do you think time
Would pass me by
‘Cause you know I’d walk
A thousand miles
If I could
Just see you
If I could
Just hold you
Tonight
